You don’t have to actually visit German to experience some of the fine German products.  German cars have always been a status symbol here in America.  German jewelry is also a product much beloved by other countries.  German flowers can be appreciated both in Germany and other countries now as well.  German sports and the famous sports stars that were born in Germany are also something Americans enjoy watching.
